You can spend Petals or Gems to purchase various Dragon Eggs at different costs. Every 3 dragon eggs can be merged to get a Dragon Whelp! Every 3 Dragons of the same level can be merged to a higher level Dragon. Merging Dragons will increase your Dragon Power and the Dragon's Stamina!
