In addition to recycling items by completing orders, you can tap on any item and the item info panel at the bottom will show you buttons to sell or recycle it.
If you sell or recycle an item, you can get it back by tapping the "Undo" button immediately. Remember, if you continue playing, the undo option will disappear, so keep an eye on what you sell or recycle!
