- Color-coded backgrounds behind your pet's icon indicate its rarity, ranging from green, blue, purple, to orange.

- Rarity correlates to the pet's form. For example, the Common, Elite, and King forms of smaller pets correspond to green, blue, and purple, while larger or more monstrous pets correspond to blue, purple, and orange.

- Pets of the same color will have roughly similar combat abilities, excluding bonuses from their features, forms, and talents. For example, the King form of a cat and the Elite form of a cheetah have comparable base combat attributes.
